My name is Mitch "DUTCH" Lenington and I am a thru hiker. Upon my completion of the Appalachian Trail on August 7, 2016, I realized that I am hooked. I lived free and told myself what to do each and every day. How could one not love something like that? I have created this portfolio for my upcoming hike of the Pacific Crest Trail starting in April of 2017 where I hope to regularly update pictures, videos, and journals of my adventure.
I see my young age as a positive rather than a negative in a way that I have plenty of room to grow and learn. I see my future filled with opportunities that I could have never dreamed of before taking on an adventure like the Appalachian Trail. My horizons have expanded exponentially from the boy who grew up in Mississippi learning only the means to be successful in the minds of others instead of following my dreams and chasing what truly makes me happy.
